MARSHLAND MARKETING
Experience, independence, and a love for the web.

A Little About Me
I’m Felicia, the lady behind Marshland Marketing.
I’ve spent years working with businesses, technology, websites, and customers. I’ve learned that I genuinely enjoy figuring out why something isn’t working and fixing it.
Marshland Marketing grew from that experience and one simple idea: website help and design shouldn’t be complicated.
Small business owners have enough to manage without becoming website experts. Sometimes you need a website built. Sometimes you just need someone to fix the darn thing.
I work independently, solve problems, and believe in doing things properly. I also believe you should own and understand the digital pieces your business depends on.
My job isn’t to make you dependent on me. It’s to help you get where you need to go.
That’s really the heart of Marshland Marketing.

Where It Started
I’ve been messing around with computers and websites since the internet still made that horrible dial-up noise. Back then, building something online meant learning by doing | DOS, FrontPage, early browsers, clunky graphics, broken layouts, and plenty of trial and error.
I didn’t have a grand plan to work in web or technology. I was simply curious, stubborn enough to keep figuring things out, and completely fascinated by what could be built on a screen. I created my wedding venue completely by code.

Somewhere Along the Way, It Clicked
What started as tinkering eventually became something I actually understood. Websites stopped feeling mysterious. So did domains, email, DNS, WordPress, troubleshooting, and all the little pieces that make the web work behind the scenes.
Graphic design became part of it too, not because I set out to become a designer, but because I kept wanting things to work and look right.
Over the years, curiosity turned into experience, and experience turned into the ability to look at something broken, confusing, or ugly and think, Okay. I can figure this out.

And Somehow, Here We Are
Marshland Marketing is really the result of all of it with the years of learning, fixing, designing, rebuilding, messing things up, and figuring out why.
I still like simple solutions. I still think people should understand and own what they’re paying for. And I still get way too much satisfaction out of fixing something that has been driving someone else crazy.
These days, I get to combine the technical side with the creative side and build things my own way. Well, almost my own way. My CEO keeps a very watchful eye on me.

Meet the CEO
Lanie takes her role at Marshland Marketing very seriously. Her responsibilities include supervising all projects, attending meetings she wasn’t invited to, reminding everyone when it’s time to step away from the computer, and maintaining a strict squirrel-free workplace.
When she’s not overseeing operations, she’s usually swimming, playing fetch, or occupying whichever spot was intended for someone else.
She has absolutely no training in web design, WordPress, or marketing. What she does have is excellent judgment, a willingness to work for treats, and an unwavering belief that every successful business needs a Lab in charge.
So far, management agrees.
